Transparent Labor/Payroll Analytics Deliver Accurate Forecasts
APM provided a new level of project transparency through Construction Financial Analytics support for a general contractor that had been operating for over 100 years. Our business solutions team worked with the client’s IT department to push select fields from their payroll system to our custom database. We then integrated the client’s contract strategy and rate structure with the payroll export to generate a real-time labor module in Tableau.
APM built the module in two days that was then utilized on the project for over two years. Our efficient execution allowed our client to stay ahead of their budget and schedule and identify issues before they became problems.
We used data from the module to provide our client with more accurate forecasts, comprehensive manual accruals, and a better understanding of variances. Our client had a trusted and reliable source of data throughout the entire project due to the long life of our model and the immersive approach from our team.
